Applications are now open for the Nuno Grande Doctoral Scholarship 2023, worth €25,000. Candidates must, at the time of application submission, be enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Medical Sciences at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS). The applications are open until January 19, 2024.
The Nuno Grande Doctoral Scholarship 2023 is a joint initiative between Professor Nuno Grande's family, the ICBAS, and the BIAL Foundation, which aims to support research work in the areas of Fundamental Sciences developed by doctors who are collaborating in higher education.
Nuno Grande was involved in the genesis of the constitution of the BIAL Foundation, where he held the position of member of the Board from its creation in 1994 until 2007, having helped to write the Foundation’s statutes. He has also been on the Jury of several editions of the BIAL Award since 1984.
